Ex-Ghanaian female tennis professional impacting the next generation

Former Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) player Naa Shika Adu is the founder of Ace Tennis Academy. She started the academy in 2017 and has never looked back since. The academy focuses on training kids professionally and helping adults stay fit or lose weight. Currently, the academy trains 15 permanent children and 10 adults at the Dean’s Guest House, Korle Bu.

The Ace Tennis Academy has held a one-day tennis clinic dubbed "Love Ball Project" for the residents of three orphanages in Accra.

The over 50 beneficiaries of the clinic drawn the Ghana Society for the Disadvantaged, Enough Grace Foundation and the Madina Social Welfare Boys were taken through the basics of playing tennis by coaches at the Echoing Hills Village, Ghana on Sunday, November 1. 2020.

University of Ghana Sports Personalities Honoured at Vice-Chancellor’s Award Ceremony.

The Sports Directorate has presented awards to deserving sports men and women during the 2017/2018 academic year at a dinner ceremony on Friday, 27th April, 2018. The ceremony was under the auspices of the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, in honour of student athletes who have excelled within the academic year.
